This infra-structure project aligns with the City of Rochester’s dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship, aiming to eliminate fossil fuel usage by 2030. The project involved transitioning the City of Rochester Government Center to geothermal heating and cooling, facilitated by the installation of two new ground source geothermal wells. Additionally, this project marked the initial step in outfitting the Civic Center and Library for geothermal heating and cooling. With these buildings now prepared, Phase II construction, slated to commence in 2025, will integrate ground source geothermal wells and an ambient heating loop to serve these two community assets. Pristash Construction provided Owner’s Representative services and commissioning support throughout the project.
